A Joint Painting Exhibit Celebrating Tam's 80th Birthday

Bai-Qin Shan was born in Guangdong in 1936 and now lives in Canada. He was director of the Guangdong Artists Association, vice-chairman of the Guangzhou Artists Association, and vice-president of the Guangzhou Chinese Painting Association. He graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts majoring in painting and his graduation piece “Riding the Waves of the South China Sea” was presented in national and international exhibitions. He has held solo
exhibitions in Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Thailand, Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Japan and other places. In 1983 he received a creative artistic accomplishment certificate from the People’s Government of Guangdong Province. He is the visiting professor at Peking University and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. In 2005 he became the vice-president of Guangdong Peizheng College.
